Sydney on Tour...

Our second stop on Sydney's tour was Mobile, AL. We went to visit Uncle Mark, Aunt Marsha, Katie & Austin. We had a great time! There is never a boring moment with Katie & Austin. While we were there Marsha found some time to take a few 6 week pictures of Sydney.

Sydney 6 weeks

Pensacola, FL

Well, we survived our first long trip. Friday night we drove down to Pensacola, FL, so we could go to Papaw's 80th birthday party on Sunday. I think it is safe to say everyone tried to spoil Sydney as much as possible while we were down there. Sydney learned that Nanny and Randi are good pillows, Papaw is going to teach her to like gold (I hope he is going to buy it for her when she starts asking for it), and Uncle Steve isn't very good at holding babies (but he has lots of hair to grab.) Sydney's First Snow

It's been a while since the last time we updated, so I thought I would treat you all to some pictures of Sydney's first experience with snow. It looks as though we ended up getting about 1" to 1.5" of snow this morning, but by noon, the only evidence of it was little patches here and there in the shade. As you can see by the first picture, the cold was a bit of a shock to her.







As you can see, Hypnos wasn't fond of the snow either.

1st real bath!

Sydney's cord finally fell off and she had her first real bath today! She didn't mind it too much...and she actually didn't poop or pee while she was in the tub! LOL


We also got some cute pictures of her stretching & trying to wake up.





And a picture of her in her "Sweetheart" shirt and her first pacifier!

2 week check-up

Sydney went for her 2 week check-up yesterday. They said she looks good :) She has grown an inch (20 inches now) and has gained back up to 6lb 2 oz. They had to get a little blood from her for a test but as soon as they finished she stopped crying! She's a big girl already! She is eating really good and sleeping a little better (which makes mommy & daddy happier!) She got to have a "binky" today for the first time...and she took to it immediately. We're hoping it'll help her sleep at night! We go back to the doctor in 6 weeks to get started on vaccines. We will try to continue to update everyone!!

Visitors!

We (well Sydney) had a few more visitors this weekend. Everyone was so excited to see her! She got to see her Granny & Grandpa Gillstrap, Papaw Tim & Booney, Uncle Mark, Aunt Marsha, Katie, & Austin!! I think they all like her a little bit :) Marsha took a few pictures of Sydney (at 1 week and 2 days old) and I wanted to share my precious baby with you all. Hope you enjoy!

Sydney Marie was born on Jan 28th. She was 6 lb 5oz and 19 in long. She is absolutely wonderful in every way! We already can't imagine life without her....She has her daddy completely wrapped around her tiny little fingers!
